Community Foundation of West Chester / Liberty wins Telly Award
WEST CHESTER / LIBERTY TOWNSHIPS, Ohio (March 13, 2007)
Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty has just won a national Telly Award for an endowment video produced last fall. Telly Awards are given annually for outstanding TV commercials, videos and programs submitted from the United States and many foreign countries. This year’s 28th Annual Telly Award winners were selected from over 13,000 entries. The winning video was a production of Murray Multimedia Resources, LLC. Katie Braswell, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty wrote the video and Michael Murray produced and directed.
Ms. Braswell said, “This video highlights one of many examples in which the Foundation is making a difference in the community. It tells about the importance of charitable gifts given through the Community Foundation, and specifically, about the gift that impacted the Fischer family of West Chester, and their autistic son, Timmy. We were able to help them at a critical time in Timmy’s development because of the kindness of our donors,” Ms. Braswell explained.
The video won a Silver Telly (the highest honor) in the ‘Fund Raising’ category. “I have worked with the Community Foundation for years and knew the story of the Fischers,” Mr. Murray states. “Katie and I decided the time had come to tell that story to the Foundation supporters and our community at large.”
The Community Foundation of West Chester/Liberty encourages, supports and facilitates philanthropy and improves the quality of life in the West Chester/Liberty area.
