Kerry Murray graduated from Drake University with a BA in Advertising and started her career as a writer/ producer at advertising agency, Young & Rubicam. She subsequently moved into account management working on both consumer and agricultural accounts.

Wanting to continue to write and produce, and still have client contact, her next career move was into radio. Starting as an account executive Murray was quickly promoted to General Sales Manager. In 1980, she was one of the first 100 people in the US to be designated a Certified Radio Marketing Consultant by the Radio Advertising Bureau. Throughout Murray’s 15 years in radio she was active with Ad Club, Rotary and the Cedar Rapids Chamber of Commerce. She was a board member and facilitator for Leadership for Five Seasons and Leadership Iowa.

In 1994, Murray moved to Ohio with her husband, Michael and two sons, and started Murray Management Resources, a management-consulting firm. As a business owner, she was an active member of the West Chester Chamber Alliance, serving on several committees prior to joining the Chamber staff in April of 1999. From 2001 to 2006, Murray served as the Chamber‘s Vice President of Membership Services and Marketing.

In July of 2006, Murray became the Leadership Development Director at the West Chester Chamber Alliance, overseeing the Chamber’s three community leadership programs. This part-time position has allowed Murray to take a greater role in Murray Multimedia Resources, where she currently serves as an account executive, writer and producer.

She is a member of West Chester/Liberty Rotary Club and serves on the Business Advisory Committee for Butler Tech’s Options Academy – The Arts.
