Mike Murray

M ichael Murray started his career in television as director at a CBS affiliate. After four years, he moved to the largest ad agency in the US, Young and Rubicam as a produce/director, including film and commercial projects and all aspects of music recording. While at Young & Rubicam, Murray had the opportunity to work in cities such as Nashville, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto. Throughout his decade and a half in the agency business, he worked with clients ranging from Eli Lilly to the Buffalo Bills.

In 1994, Murray left the agency to head the multimedia division of AT&T in Dayton. As their Creative Director, he oversaw one of the world’s largest private satellite networks and directed a staff of ten full-time producers and numerous freelance producers. Then as Vice President of NCR’s multimedia division, Murray concentrated on business-to-business communications; writing, producing and directing for NCR’s clients including Wal-Mart, Microsoft, Intel and Oracle. With shooting credits in Europe and Asia and live international broadcasts from locations as diverse as Bentonville, Arkansas to Tokyo, Japan, his work has been seen in over 150 countries.

Murray founded Murray Multimedia Resources, LLC in February of 1998. As an entrepreneur, he was excited about working more directly with clients on their business-to-business communications. Always an avid photographer, Murray’s corporate photography work added to his love of directing and producing providing full multimedia solutions for his clients. According to Murray, “MMR delivers L.A. production quality at West Chester prices …clients truly benefit from my years of experience combined with the new technologies. I am now able to do editing and graphics on my computer that 20 years ago took a room full of computers and a trip to L.A. to produce.”

MMR has grown along with many of its clients: Sasha Corporation, Professional Case, Dell, First Financial Bank, Amylin Ohio LLC and Otterbein Retirement Communities. In the past three years, MMR has gained national recognition along with their clients, The Community Foundation of West Chester Liberty, Butler County United Way and Butler Technology and Career Development Schools, were the subjects of Telly Award winning work. An active member of the West Chester Chamber Alliance, Murray is seen taking photos at the monthly luncheons and providing other multimedia support at Chamber events.

Murray volunteers at Faith Community United Methodist and for the Butler County United Way. He holds Board positions for the Hamilton Fairfield Symphony Orchestra and SEBC Leadership 21 Alumni Association.
