What is a Telly?
The Telly Award (Telly) is the premier award honoring the finest video and film productions. The award annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators, and corporate video departments in the world.
The Telly is a widely known and highly respected national and international competition and receives over 13,000 entries annually.
Tellys are awarded one of two levels; Silver (highest honor) or Bronze (outstanding achievement).

WEST CHESTER / LIBERTY TOWNSHIPS, Ohio (February 27, 2009) – Michael Murray of Murray Multimedia Resources, LLC has been elected to membership on the Telly Silver Council. The council is a membership-based organization of Silver Telly Awards winners, of which Mr. Murray is a multiple winner. Judging Telly Awards entries is an honor and responsibility placed solely on Silver Council members. Subjects of Murray Multimedia Resources Telly Award winning work include The Community Foundation of West Chester Liberty, Butler County United Way, The Jeffery Thomas Hayden Foundation and Butler Technology and Career Development Schools.
Silver Telly Council members are the judging panel for the Telly Awards, provide strategic direction for the awards competition, and are empowered to uphold the historical standards of the Telly competition. Judges evaluate entries to recognize distinction in creative work and are judged against a high standard of merit. Winning entries are awarded a Silver or Bronze Telly based on the combined scoring of the judges who evaluate each entry.
Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards honor excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials. Non-broadcast video and TV program categories were soon added. Today, the Telly is one of the most sought-after awards by industry leaders, from large international firms to local production companies and ad agencies.
Murray founded Murray Multimedia Resources, LLC (MMR) in February of 1998. Prior to MMR, Murray's experience includes director at a CBS affiliate, producer/director at Young and Rubicam Advertising agency working on film and commercial projects plus all aspects of music recording and VP of the multimedia division at AT&T/NCR in Dayton, Ohio.
As AT&T/NCR, Murray oversaw one of the world's largest private satellite networks and directed a staff of ten full-time producers and numerous freelance producers. As AT&T/NCR Vice President, Murray concentrated on business-to-business communications; writing, producing and directing for clients including Wal-Mart, Microsoft, Intel and Oracle.
Murray's film and video credits include Europe and Asia with live international broadcasts from locations as diverse as Bentonville, Arkansas to Tokyo, Japan,. Throughout his decade and a half in the agency business, he worked with clients ranging from Eli Lilly to the Buffalo Bills in cities such as Nashville, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Toronto.
